I hand you another cigarette. I pour you another gin.
I light some candles in the act of preservation.
Moistened eyes. The blow on the match. The travelling smoke. The smell of sulphur.
You exhibit an empty sky. I will put back the moon and the stars.
I will never allow them to take you to the gallows. I will protect you unequivocally and perpetually, in mind heart body and soul.
Ships of redemption will dock in this room; our bay of truth.
The winter morning sun will no longer be in mourning.
In these arms you will never quail again.
I won't ever betray your precious name.
I run the light of my fingers through the wheat of your hair.
I remove the seeds of unfulfilling consequences from the fruit of your mouth with the bite of my kiss.
We delicately undress each other; our shadows waltz exquisitely upon the wall, with grace and humility.
We are completely sealed like unread letters. Every single inch of us is absolutely burning to be deciphered.
We are the change in the coin pushers, waiting to fall...
in love. xxx
